Bio
The 2004 winner of what was then known as the Honda-Broderick Cup is Stanford swimming sensation Tara Kirk. During her collegiate career, she won 11 NCAA individual titles, including four straight championships in the 100-meter breaststroke and three in the 200-meter breaststroke, while earning 16 All-America honors. Internationally, she collected 15 medals, including three gold, across the Olympic Games, World Championships, Pan Pacific Championships and World University Games, setting multiple world records along the way. Following her competitive career, Tara earned her Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University and has built a career in public health.
