Bio
The 1999 winner of what was then known as the Honda-Broderick Cup is Long Beach State volleyball star Misty May. Misty captained the 49ers to the 1998 NCAA championship with a 36-0 record, the first perfect season in NCAA women’s volleyball history. Misty later won three Olympic Gold medals in beach volleyball and then fashioned a pro career with the AVP Tour that featured a record 112-match win streak from 2007 to 2008 and was named AVP Team of the Year with Kerri Walsh six times. Misty is a member of her high school and college halls of fame as well as the International Volleyball Hall of Fame. She is now a motivational speaker and broadcaster for the AVP Tour.
