Bio
The 1978 winner of what was then the Broderick Cup is UCLA legend Ann Meyers Drysdale. Ann made history as the first woman to receive a full athletic scholarship at UCLA and went on to become the first-ever four-time Kodak All-American, leading her Bruins to the 1978 AIAW national championship in her senior year. Ann was also a trailblazer on the world stage, helping the inaugural USA Women’s Olympic Basketball Team win Silver at the 1976 Montreal Games, before becoming the first woman to sign an NBA contract with the Indiana Pacers in 1979. A member of multiple Halls of Fame, Ann built a highly successful broadcasting career and today serves as Vice President for the Phoenix Suns and the three-time WNBA champion Phoenix Mercury.
