Bio
The 2005 winner of what was then known as the Honda-Broderick Cup is Stanford volleyball superstar Ogonna Nnamani. An outside hitter for the Cardinal, Ogonna helped lead Stanford to NCAA championships in 2001 and 2004 and was named NCAA Most Outstanding Player as a senior. She went on to represent Team USA in two Olympic Games, winning silver in Beijing in 2008, and added 10 additional medals spanning the World Championships, World Grand Prix and World University Games. Ogonna also played professionally in Europe for six years, winning league titles in Switzerland and the Czech Republic. After retiring from volleyball, Ogonna earned her medical degree from UC San Francisco and now specializes in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
