Olivia Babcock from the University of Pittsburgh, Mimi Colyer of the University of Wisconsin, Eva Hudson from the University of Kentucky and University of Nebraska’s Bergen Reilly have been announced as the four finalists for the Class of 2026 Honda Sport Award for volleyball, as revealed today by Chris Voelz, Executive Director of The Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA).
The announcement comes during a landmark moment for the organization, as the CWSA celebrates its 50th anniversary during the 2025–26 collegiate athletics season. For five decades, the Honda Sport Award has honored the nation’s top women athletes in 12 NCAA-sanctioned sports, symbolizing “the best of the best in collegiate athletics.” The recipient will become a finalist for the prestigious Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year and the Class of 2026 Honda Cup, to be presented live on Monday, July 27, at 7 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.
The volleyball finalists were selected by a panel of experts and coaches from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). Voting for the Honda Sport Award for volleyball is conducted by senior women administrators from more than 1,000 NCAA member institutions.
Babcock is the Class of 2025 Honda Award winner and a two-time AVCA National Player of the Year, anchoring Pitt’s run to its fifth-straight NCAA Championship semifinal. The junior right-side hitter from Los Angeles, Calif., earned 2025 AVCA Opposite of the Year honors and is a three-time AVCA First Team All-American and two-time ACC Player of the Year. She ranked among the nation’s leaders with 5.17 kills per set and broke Pitt’s single-match kills record twice.
Colyer is a 2025 AVCA Player of the Year finalist and AVCA Outside Hitter of the Year after a dominant senior season for Wisconsin. Hailing from Lincoln, Calif., she earned AVCA First Team All-America and First Team All-Big Ten honors while ranking second nationally with 5.44 kills per set. A consistent two-way presence, Colyer recorded 14 matches with 20+ kills and reached the 1,000-career-dig milestone early in the season.
Hudson is a 2025 AVCA Player of the Year finalist and the SEC Player and Newcomer of the Year after leading Kentucky to an unbeaten SEC regular season and conference title. The senior outside hitter from Fort Wayne, Ind., is a two-time AVCA All-American and four-time First Team All-Conference selection. She led the Wildcats with 4.54 kills per set while hitting an efficient .317 on the season.
Reilly is a 2025 AVCA Player of the Year finalist, AVCA Setter of the Year, and Big Ten Player of the Year after guiding Nebraska to a perfect 20–0 conference record and a national-best .351 team hitting percentage. A native of Sioux Falls, S.D., the junior setter is a three-time AVCA All-American and has already climbed to third in program history in career assists. She averaged 10.47 assists per set while helping the Huskers to a 33–1 overall record and a third-straight Big Ten championship.
As the CWSA marks its 50th anniversary, the organization continues its longstanding mission to honor excellence in athletics, leadership, academics, and community service. Since 1986, Honda has contributed more than $3.4 million in institutional grants to support women’s athletics programs nationwide.
